Whisky tasting in CMWTS

February 4th, 2007 | Posted by Niels Klintø in Copenhagen | Whisky

Friday was the day for the tasting in Copenhagen Malt Whisky Tasting Society and what a tasting! It was one of the great ones – A pure islands tasting and I LOVE whiskies from the islands!

Lagavulin in a double matured version, Laphroaig in Quarter cask version, standard Talisker and standard High Land Park – I really love those…  Bruichladdich was not bad at all, but Isle of Jura (even in a Legacy version) was BAD as always – I will never be an Isle of Jura man…
No discussion, the Lagavulin was the best one of the night, but the Laphroaig was very close – Thanx to the tasting master, GREAT choice!

Everybody was having a good time at Hoppes Cafe

And there was a lot of discussion about which of the whiskies that fitted the tasting notes in the test… I did in fact take a 3. place….  but no cigar… 😉
