A small hour ago this years Le Mans race started and I certainly hope that Tom Kristensen will win his 8th title – He deserved it so much for being such a great driver.
Btw his car is already in the lead!

It might sound like a tall story, but I did in fact meet the former Danish Ultimate (star) player Jacob Juel Pedersen yesterday and after a small talk about life ect. I asked him if he was in for some GUTS in the future, and he didnt really say no, sooo.. in fact he smiled and revealed that he had tried it several times, so I’ll take it as he’s ready for some GUTS… 😉
Mathias, are you ready soon???
(its summer… even though is raining a lot just now…)
No we’re getting a lot closer to point where we have no excuse for not starting to play some Frisbee GUTS – we are now 4 people for sure (not enough for a team yet… ;-), but the Frisbees for GUTS did arrive the other day!!!
Sooo Martin, Mattias and Mehlbye – let’s go!
Mattias and I have been talking about setting up a Guts team in Copenhagen for a looooog time (the last 3 years I guess and we havent been playing Guts once in that period.. hmmm), but now its gotta be!
Sooo we are skilled (and unskilled) frisbee/disc players who are ready to throw some disc… and make some great catches!
More will follow soon…
Some Ultimate players from abroad did even bring their kids along for 3 days for Ultimate in Copenhagen – check out this cooooool kid!
And time for some food…
WCU07 had teams from a lot of different countries and for the first time in WCU’s history there were also a team from Lithuania – Discoholics from Vilnius.
I’m not sure I’m a big fan of their pink/read shirts, but they were cool guys these Discoholics…
I dont know where to start in describing Wonderfull Copenhagen Ultimate 2007 – WCU07 had more than 140 Ultimate matches, more than 650 players, 28 Open teams, 14 womens team and I got a ton of photo’s (but not that many pictures from the matches… my pictures are more about all the stuff around the matches), so this will for sure be a lot of blogging from different angels over the next weeks.. 😉
And I also should remember to blog a bit about my nice Thailand vacation…
And with some many matches WCU07 had teams playing on 9-11 fields all the time…
Thursday at 15.00 was the time for the first match, so the WCU07 crew was working from early Tuesday to arranging the WCU-city, the pitches and all the logistics…
When it comes to all the matches Mattias ‘TD.I.L.F’ was the ‘mastermind’ with his humble servants Bo and I… and all the people helping us to to make the matches and results running… THANX guys.
And watch the TD.I.L.F (self acclaimed..) – if he wasnt in control he certainly looks like a man in control!
A lot of people has been writing me about the results from Wonderful Copenhagen Ultimate 2007 (WCU07) – before I go much into details about the tournament and upload some pictures I’ll just give you the results.
But I have to add that Skogshyttan was also this year incredibly strong and did well deserved win the Open division, whereas Iceni had a much closer final against Leeds Leeds Leeds, but with Iceni as this year’s the winner of the Women division. Big gratz to both of the teams!

It seems like getting more than 650 of the best Ultimate players to Copenhagen is not enough – the spring (and more) has certainly also joint WCU07, now upgraded (again this year) with a great sunshine and certainly some of the best Ultimate matches on European ground – really great to be there!
